Adam "Cuzzin" Willier
Cuzzin was the co-head brewer at Thomas Creek Brewery, a prominent brewery established in 1998 in Greenville, South Carolina. As head brewer, Cuzzin developed recipes with his team, four of which won gold medals at the South Carolina Brewers Guild Trade Show in 2018. Cuzzin also helped lead the brewery’s sour program, which released 5-6 new sour brews annually. Cuzzin co-wrote and produced an original pilsner, Rise Guys P1 Pilsner, which was specifically developed for a local radio station. In addition, Cuzzin was heavily involved at Thomas Creek Brewery in ordering, tracking, and maintaining in-house inventory, and in the complete brewing process, which includes milling, mashing, fermentation, and cellar work. He managed customer relations in both sales and taproom settings.
Prior to this role, Cuzzin was appointed to assistant manager of Grape & Grains Brewery, a homebrew supply store and microbrewery in Greenville, South Carolina, where he managed store inventory, brewing, and extensive cleaning, and provided crucial, focused customer attention to ensure high standards of customer service and repeat business. Cuzzin’s experience with Grape & Grains helped him cultivate his true passion and enabled him to begin selling his own brews and build relationships in the field.
An avid home brewer since 2010, Cuzzin is thoroughly experienced in the mashing, brewing, and fermentation process. His passion for brewing has led him to build extensive relationships with brewers, suppliers, and vendors throughout North and South Carolina. He is a member of the Upstate Brewers Coalition and is involved in the South Carolina Brewers Guild.
Prior to engaging in the brewing business, Adam learned the retail business and gained commercial experience through his time at Six & Twenty Distillery and at Sam’s Club where he became a Team Lead. Adam’s passion for food and beverage services was cultivated and developed through his education at the premier culinary school Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.
